New Study Revel Fascinating Japanese Matcha Green Tea Recipes

Matcha has a long history in Japan and it comes from the same plant that makes black, green, white, and oolong teas (known as Camellia Sinensis), but it’s processed differently.
One of the major health benefits of matcha tea is that it delivers a mega dose of antioxidants in every sip because Antioxidants are the body’s defense agents.
They are chemical compounds that prevent aging and chronic diseases.

According to the latest innovation in antioxidant research, matcha is packed with exponentially more antioxidants than any other ‘superfood’.
It is made from ground, whole tea leaves, this bright green powder adds a unique, grassy flavor to drinks, desserts and even savory recipes.
Unlike other teas which are steeped, matcha comes in a powder form and it is mixed with the water (or another base) and generally, the entire leaf is consumed.
